Leap: animation detail (2026-09-29)

Raw reference. Distilled into ../experiences/03-leap/brief.md.

Going to talk through the detail of this animation for the leap. Now that you've seen the image, what you're imagining is that it starts without the rip, just this dark sky with this road that people are walking into. It's like they're going to walk and fall, almost, because in the beginning there's no rip. It's almost like the road ends, and you just fall off at the end of the road, off a cliff.

As people are walking almost close to the end, you see that rip being ripped, but there are people close to the end just to check at the beginning. Are they going to be hidden? I would like that if it's possible, that it starts and there's nothing. There's no one walking. The road is just empty, and it leads off a cliff, off a cliff, into the end of the sky.

We animate these people. You animate the people walking towards that road, and then only you animate human beings. It's more like an animation where these cutouts move along. You actually want walking figures. I don't know. I'd prefer if it's like walking figures. They gradually walk there, and you're like, "Oh my God, you're going to walk off the sky," and then it suddenly rips. Suddenly, you have a gentle, not violent, but a gentle rip from the top down or bottom up. Top down, I think. You pull from the top.

Let's try that, and it reveals that field that is opening. It's like they're walking into that field, this kind of yellow field. I think, in the very beginning, when there's just a road with the sky and no one walking in there, we will find what the text says. Something about how we're walking where there is a dark Renaissance, like walking into the unknown. Walking into the unknown can be scary, but as we walk, we still hold the possibility. That's where you see the rip. We need to hold the possibility of renewal or of Renaissance, and then something happens.

At the end of it, when it finishes, there's some ultimate kind of "Come join us," "You can join us," "Join our Tuesday call," "Join our Thursday calls." It might even be just more generic: "Join us," but "Join us." Concrete, like "Come meet others," "Got you on our Thursday calls." That's answering more detail on this on beat 3.

One question: I just might technically be possible to find the original image that was used for the collage, which will then make it easier to animate the rip. Okay, cool, that's that one.
