Changelog

  1. Print elements for Seeds of Renaissance

Seventeen woodcut, linocut and engraving prints for the design system, in thirty versions, cut out of their paper and ready to drop onto any page: pomegranates in black and red, oak leaves and acorns, pinecones, hanging fruit, flowers, a mountain range with and without a gold sun, and a rising flock of swallows. Each is an SVG and a transparent PNG, and keeps the colours it was printed in, so it can sit under a soft transparency. See them all in the prints gallery (rules: graphics).

Print elements: pomegranates, mountains with a gold sun, swallows, acorns, pinecone and flowers
  2. One graphics library for Seeds of Renaissance

Every graphic in the Seeds of Renaissance design system is now in one library: woodcuts and prints, animals, painted botanicals and washes, line figures and marks, mountains and the brand marks, each set with a card on one page and its own gallery on any ground it may use. One rules table says, for every set, which colours, grounds and registers it suits and whether its rights are cleared. See the graphics library.

  3. The Seeds of Renaissance design system has a new home page and navigation

The design system now opens with three ways in: making something (pick the format to get its guide, an example to copy and a Canva kit where there is one), getting a file (logo, graphics, photos, fonts), or understanding the brand. The navigation follows the same lines: Start here, Make, Assets, Foundations, Brand and Examples. The guides are shorter and say only how things are done now, and the gallery thumbnails now show on the live site.

  4. Make Seeds of Renaissance social posts with your AI agent

The design system now gives you a prompt to paste into your AI agent: the Social guide opens with one, and it makes an on-brand Instagram post with a caption. The agent follows a new roadmap for agents that tells it what to read for each job; more prompts are on Use with an agent.

  5. Botanicals, watercolour washes, geometry and marks for Seeds of Renaissance

Thirty-four new graphic elements for the design system, cut out of their paper and ready to drop onto any page, in four sets: coloured botanicals (a tulip, an orchid, a scroll painting of peaches, a single green flower), loose watercolour and ink washes, black line geometry such as an exact Metatron's cube, and interlaced marks and patterns. Each is a transparent PNG, with an SVG where it is small and clean. The botanicals and washes keep the colours they were painted in; the geometry and marks are plain black. See each set in its gallery: botanicals, washes, geometry and marks (rules: graphics).

  6. A prompt for every Seeds of Renaissance design job

Use with an agent now has a prompt to paste into your AI agent for each common job: a podcast episode cover, slides (presented from the browser, with a PDF), a diagram, a paper typeset as a PDF, finding the right logo or graphic, and changing the design system itself. Each guide (Podcast, Slides, Diagrams, Print) opens with its prompt.

  7. Woodcut animals for Seeds of Renaissance

A new set of animal woodcuts, linocuts and engravings, cut out of their paper and ready to drop onto any page: fox, swan, owls, bear, wild boar, swallow, hedgehog, snake and more. Each comes in black and three new illustration inks (blue, deep green and mustard), as an SVG and a transparent PNG. See and download every one in the animals gallery (rules: graphics).

  9. Blue mountain elements for Seeds of Renaissance

Eight blue mountains, cut out of their paper and ready to drop onto any page: pen-and-ink peaks and ridges, a brush-and-wash ridge, a range with drifting contour lines, a 1934 sketch, and a linocut of peaks over curling waves. Each comes in the blue it was drawn in, cobalt and black, as a transparent PNG. The linocut also has lighter blues and an SVG. They are a candidate look for a sub-brand. See every version in the mountains gallery (rules: graphics).
